BuyerScore
Redesigned the BuyerScore website to improve the user experience and improve brand awareness.
Avanti Finance customers had no self-service option, every balance check, every repayment, every account question went through a phone call or an email. We built the app that closed that gap. I led design across user research, prototyping, and the design system, and worked alongside the development team during build to make sure the design held up in code.
The home screen is the first thing customers see when they open the app, and it has one job, answer the questions they would otherwise call support to ask. Every loan, current balance, next payment, and any overdue amounts sit visible at the top, before any tapping or scrolling.
One of the most common sources of anxiety for borrowers is not knowing what's coming. Missed payment dates, unexpected balance changes, and overdue amounts often caught customers off guard before the app existed. The notification system was designed to remove that uncertainty — alerting customers ahead of upcoming payments, confirming when repayments are processed, and flagging anything that needs their attention before it becomes a problem.
The app's tabbed interface allows customers to easily switch between different sections of their loan information. Whether they want to view their payment history, check upcoming due dates, or access important documents, everything is just a tap away. This design keeps the interface clean and organized while providing quick access to all the essential details customers need to manage their loans effectively.
After several rounds of iteration and stakeholder feedback, the designs were refined into polished, high-fidelity prototypes. The final screens reflect a clean, modern interface that prioritises clarity and ease of use — giving customers a straightforward way to view their loan details, make payments, and track their history.
The Avanti App is built to be used on iOS, Android or viewed on the web. Using Figma, I created a variety of components and layouts that would work across different screen sizes and orientations, ensuring a seamless user experience regardless of the device being used.
So far, the app has downloaded over 5,000 times on the Google Play store and has an average rating of 4.8 stars. User feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many customers praising the app's intuitive design and ease of use. The success of the Avanti Customer App is a testament to the importance of user-centered design and the impact it can have on customer satisfaction and engagement.
